An extremely talented linebacker, Blake continued to have an impact at the inside linebacker position in 2011 after his debut in 2010. He's a physical player with great quickness and excellent footwork...extremely hard worker...was sidelined during 2010 spring practice with an injury but worked through the summer to move up the depth chart in the fall season... has made two appearances on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll.
AT TECH (In 2011): Made appearances in all 11 games for the Golden Eagles at the inside linebacker position. He amassed a total of 35 tackles on the season, nine of which were unassisted. He surpassed his career-best six tackles with seven stops against Maryville College on Sept. 8 in the Golden Eagles' home-opener. He had six stops on Oct. 1 at UT Martin and assisted on one tackle-for-loss the week prior against SEMO. His third best defensive game came at EIU on Sept. 17 when Adams made five total tackles, four on his own.
AT TECH (In 2010): Blake appeared in 10 of Tech's 11 games in his first season on the field and saw increased playing time as the season advanced...did not play in the game at Southeast Missouri...finished the year with 18 total tackles, including a career-best six stops in the season-ending victory over Jacksonville State, including assisting on a tackle-for-loss...opened his career with two tackles at FBS Arkansas...had two stops each against UT Martin, Austin Peay and Eastern Illinois in OVC play.
AT TECH (In 2009): Blake was on the roster in a redshirt role in his first season with the Golden Eagles.
HIGH SCHOOL: Blake was named first-team All-Dekalb County in 2007 and 2008 while starring for Dunwoody High School, and was voted the team MVP as a senior...won the Outstanding Linebacker Award as a junior and senior, and was a team captain in the Dekalb County All-Star Game...an Atlanta Journal-Constitution Player of the Week, he was voted CSS second-team all-state as a senior when he made 118 tackles, 40 assists, five tackles-for-loss, one quarterback sack and one fumble recovery which he returned for a touchdown...one of two signees from Dunwoody School, joining linebacker teammate Jerry King...in addition to three letters on the gridiron, he also lettered three times in shot put with the track & field team.
PERSONAL: The son of Stefon and Febe Adams...birthdate is October 9, 1991...full name is Blake Alexander Stefon Adams... majoring in interdisciplinary studies.
