In 2011 (Freshman): Justin made 16 appearances on the mound in his freshman season, throwing 26.1 innings…against Alabama A&M he struck out four batters in 2.2 innings pitched…against UT Martin he threw 4.1 innings while striking out seven batters…struck out a total of 21 batters and recorded one save against Murray State.

Webb School of Knoxville: A four-year letterwinner out of Webb School of Knoxville, Alexander was named first-team all-state and all-region with an 11-1 pitching record and .397 batting average...he helped his team to the 2010 Region and State Championships.
