Sandy Zimmerman oversees all of Tennessee Tech's Athletics Ticket operations, and 2014-15 marks her 13th year as Ticket Office Manager for Golden Eagle Athletics.
Originally from Columbus, Neb., she graduated from Lakeview High School and remains to this day a die-hard Cornhusker fan in addition to her allegiance to the Golden Eagles. She began work at TTU in 1992 as manager of the Indoor Tennis Center. In 1998, she took a clerical position in Athletics, and served in that role until June 2001 when she was promoted to Ticket Office Manager. Her current position is Financial Associate as well as Ticket Office Manager.
Zimmerman oversees all season and individual game ticket sales
operations, including group sales and Back the Golden Eagles plans.
She also coordinates the gameday ticket sales staff at football and
basketball games, and other special events held in Tech's
Zimmerman, 59, also plays a major role in the success and smooth operation of the annual Bobby Nichols Scramble. After handling much of the behind-the-scenes clerical preparations and registration leading up to the tournament, she also coordinates all of the scoring and flighting for more than 500 golfers over the three-day tournament.
Actively involved in the Boy Scouts of America, she served as Scoutmaster for 24 years and earned the Silver Beaver Award. She is also an accomplished seamstress.
Sandy and her husband, Bob, have been married for 40 years and have three grown sons -- Rob, Kenyon and Nathan, all of whom have accomplished the rank of Eagle Scout.
