One of several newcomers on the Golden Eagle rosters, Anna shows tremendous promise as a collegiate distance runner...competing in cross country during the fall season and will be running distance events during the track  & field seasons.

AT TECH (2014-15):
Anna enjoyed a solid first season on the Golden Eagle cross country squad, improving with each meet while running in all six events...acheived a career-best 5K time of 19:51.44 at the OVC Championships in Alabama where she placed second on the squad...improved from fifth in the Tech lineup to open the year to second over the course of her rookie season...originally had a sub-20 minute career best with run of 19:53.9 at the Greater Louisville Classic...captured two team awards at season's end with the Most Dedicated and Most Improved Runner awards.

HIGH SCHOOL: Anna attended Bristol (Tenn.) High School...was member of the Beta Club and National Honor Society...lettered in volleyball, cross country, and track...received the 2013 cross country MVP award and made the 2012 All-Academic volleyball team...personal 5K record in cross country came in 2013 season with a time of 19:58...personal records in track were in 2014 season with a time of 5:37 in the 1600m, 2:31 at 800 meters, and 11:47 in the 3200m event.

PERSONAL: Anna Grace Cooper is the daughter of Todd and Jennifer Cooper...was born in Bristol, Va. on December 16, 1995...enrolled in general curriculum.
