In 2015 (Junior): Povey saw action in 116 sets over 31 matches... recorded a career-high 12 kills against Niagara (8/29) and a career-best eight blocks versus Belmont (11/7)... tallied 223.5 points, 164 kills, 87 blocks (team high), and 43 digs on the season... Averaged 0.75 blocks and 1.41 kills per set...tallied 10+ kills four times.
In 2014 (Redshirt-Sophomore): In her first season as a Golden Eagle, Povey saw action in 87 sets, including 31 matches … recorded a career-high 11 kills at Jacksonville State (9/30) … finished the season with 108 kills … tallied 58 blocks on the season, including a career-best seven against N.C. A&T (09/19) … scored 145 points on the season.
Before Tech (at CSI): Alyssa attended the College of Southern Idaho (CSI) during her first two years…she saw action in 12 matches during her redshirt freshman season, tallying 18 kills while hitting .333…she also registered 12 blocks…Alyssa has three years of eligibility entering the 2014 season.

Day two of the OVC tournament brought the number sixth seed Tennessee Tech volleyball team (10-21, 7-9 OVC) to face Belmont (16-14, 11-5 OVC), the No. 2 ranked team in the competition.

In arguably the most memorable match of her sensational Golden Eagle volleyball career, senior Cody Dodd led Tennessee Tech to an improbable 3-2 Ohio Valley Conference victory over Belmont in front of a large crowd in Eblen Center Saturday evening.
The Tennessee Tech Volleyball Team (6-19, 4-8 OVC) put up a fight against the No. 1 in the OVC Murray State (21-2, 11-1 OVC), however, the Racers beat out the Golden Eagles three sets to one.
Saturday’s matchup for the Tennessee Tech volleyball team (5-18, 3-7 OVC) against Morehead State (9-15, 6-4 OVC) didn’t go as planned for the Golden Eagles.
