TEE TALK: Katie has two solid seasons behind her and hopes to convert the experience into developing her game...has qualified to play in eight tournaments during her first two campaigns and saw improvement throughout the course...an outstanding athlete who knows the value of discipline...looking forward to being one of the team's most improved players in 2008-09.

AT TECH -- In 2008-09: Katie was a member of the squad, but did not qualify for any tournaments

In 2007-08: Katie qualified for the lineup in three tournaments as a sophomore and played five total rounds in competition...best round was an 88, which she scored twice...first was at the Birmingham Southern Shootout and second came at the EKU SPring Invitational..best finish was tie for 29th a the Lady Racer Classic.

In 2006-07: As a true freshman, Katie qualified to play in five tournaments and carded 12 rounds in competition...stroke average of 87.8...had a low round of 81 on the third day of the EKU Colonel Classic (Oct. 6-7)...shot 85-86-81--252 to finish 16th for her top showing of the season...played in three tourneys in the fall and two during the spring season.

AS A PREP: Katie earned four letters at Cumberland County High School...played her senior season under the guidance of coach Scott Calahan...Katie qualified individually for the TSSAA state tournament during three of her four seasons.s a senior, she was a district medalist and finished second in the region. Along with her team, Katie and the Lady Jets won four district championships.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Jeff and Cindy Brown…born on August 24, 1988... full name is Amanda Katie Brown…majoring in business.
