2024-25 (Graduate): Named OVC Tournament MVP and to the All-OVC Second Team, OVC All-Newcomer Team, and OVC All-Tournament Team ... earned OVC Newcomer of the Week four times ... has started all 31 games ... ranks second on the team with 12.3 points per game ... leads Tech with a 47.1 field goal percentage and 42.5 3-point field goal percentage ... averaging 3.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists ... shooting 80.4 percent from the charity stripe ... produced season-highs of 23 points on 6-for-6 shooting from distance against Southern Indiana ... hauled in a season-best eight rebounds with 16 points against Eastern Illinois ... has knocked down at least one triple in 26 games this season ... has scored in double figures 21 times this season.
AT TREVECCA: Carter delivered a historic senior campaign, averaging 21.1 points and 7.7 rebounds per game while also adding 3.3 assists and 1.6 steals per game. She shot 47.2% from the field, 36.5% from 3-point range, and 82.3% from the free-throw line, all while playing a vital role in helping the Trojans advance to their first-ever NCAA Division II Tournament in 2023 and a return in 2024. Carter comes to Cookeville after a prolific career at Trevecca, leaving as the fourth leading scorer in all of NCAA Division II for the 2023-24 season and setting nearly all of Trevecca's NCAA D2 era game, season, and career records. She garnered Great Midwest Conference First Team and Championship All-Tournament team honors and was just recently named Second Team Academic All-American® by the College Sports Communicators (CSC). This award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
HIGH SCHOOL: Carter enjoyed a legendary high school career for Coach Larry White at Macon County High School, as her team became a staple in the TSSAA state tournament during her time as a Tigerette. During her sophomore season, Macon County reached the state finals. As a senior, Carter was named TSSAA Class AA Miss Basketball and led her team to a 33-1 record and back to the semifinals of the state tournament, only to have their season cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Golden Eagles fall to 1-1 in the league after the first weekend of Ohio Valley Conference play and 7-4 overall. Lindenwood improves to 5-5 overall and 1-0 in the conference.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – It was a solid week for the Tennessee Tech women’s basketball team and the Ohio Valley Conference took notice as the Golden Eagles were selected for all three weekly awards on Tuesday morning. Junior guard Reghan Grimes was named the Player of the Week, while graduate guard Keeley Carter shared the Newcomer of the Week award and freshman guard Chloe Larry shared the Freshman of the Week honor. COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The cheers of the Upper Cumberland’s youth filled the air in the Hooper Eblen Center on Friday morning as the Tennessee Tech women’s basketball team claimed the 82-58 victory over the University of the Cumberlands on Education Day. In all, the official attendance of the game was stated as 6,024 – just 89 spectators away from tying the program’s attendance record in the Hooper Eblen Center. The current record is 6,113 as the Golden Eagles defeated Middle Tennessee 79-69 on Feb. 3, 1990.

BOULDER, Colo. – The Colorado Buffaloes made the NCAA’s Sweet 16 the last two seasons. On Tuesday, the Tennessee Tech women did everything they could to hang with one of the Big 12’s best. The two teams rained 3s on the Field Trip Day crowd as the Buffaloes and the Golden Eagles combined for 25 treys as Colorado held off Tech’s late surge for a 91-79 win.
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Tennessee Tech surged out to a big lead, but a scrappy Samford squad with a huge presence in center found a way to even things up before the intermission. The Golden Eagles weren’t fazed as they used big scoring in the third and fourth quarters to send the Bulldogs to the doghouse for a 79-65 victory. Tech (5-2) is idle through the Thanksgiving holiday, then returns to action on Monday as they head to Colorado for an Education Day matchup.

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Peyton Carter and Anna Walker scored In double-figures to lead the Tennessee Tech women Tuesday night, but Middle Tennessee snapped the Golden Eagles’ four-game winning streak at Murphy Center, topping Tech 69-52. Tech (4-1) returns to action Saturday as the Golden Eagles head to Johnson City to take on East Tennessee State to continue the four-game road trip with Samford and Colorado still ahead before returning to the Eblen Center.
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The homestanding Chattanooga Mocs tied the game against Tennessee Tech with 1:37 remaining in the contest on Thursday and neither team was able to break the tie. That was until Chloe Larry passed the ball off to Reghan Grimes inside, who then laid the ball up and in to put the Golden Eagles on top with just a second remaining on the clock with Tech taking a 48-46 victory at McKenzie Arena.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – It came down to one last shot, but Tennessee Tech’s final attempt came late as the buzzer sounded, giving Lipscomb the 74-72 exhibition victory Tuesday night at the Hooper Eblen Center. The Golden Eagles had four players score in double digits, led by Peyton Carter with 17 points with six rebounds. Freshman Chloe Larry scored 13 points in her debut, while Anna Walker tabbed in 12 and nine boards to just miss a double-double. Reghan Grimes scored 10 points and pulled down six rebounds. Newcomer Keeley Carter also narrowly missed a double-double with nine points and nine caroms.
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – After weeks of work against their teammates, the Tennessee Tech women’s basketball team is probably ready to face a different opponent. Why not a Division I-level opponent? The Golden Eagles will get their chance to do that Tuesday night as they host Lipscomb for the first part of the Purple Palooza exhibition doubleheader at the Hooper Eblen Center. Tipoff is slated for 5:30 p.m. The Purple Palooza event begins at 4:30 p.m. with free trick-or-treating around the Eblen Center concourse with student groups, community groups and businesses and Tech athletic teams handing out candy. Admission to the game is free, but there will also be opportunities for fans to donate to the Cookeville Regional Medical Center Charitable Foundation as the NCAA allows teams to play exhibition contests against Division I opponents before the traditional start of the season as long as it is a charity-based event.

One might think that could be a slight to the Tennessee Tech women’s basketball team as the Golden Eagles enter the 2024-25 campaign. No, for head coach Kim Rosamond and the Tech roster, it’s a mission statement. After all, with six straight winning seasons – with double-digit OVC wins in each year at that – the road to the conference championship is coming through Cookeville as it has many times before.
