Bio
2019-20 (Junior): Appeared in all 30 games, making 29 starts and averaging a team second-best 29.7 minutes… named All-OVC First Team following a stellar junior campaign in which she led the team offensively, averaging 14.4 points per game… named OVC Player of the Week (Nov. 26) following Tech’s contests against Middle Tennessee (Nov. 21) and Samford (Nov. 24)… named TSWA Player of the Week (Jan. 21) after Tech’s pair of victories over SIUE (Jan. 16) and Eastern Illinois (Jan. 18)… shot 40.7 percent from the field and 37.1 percent from 3-point range… scored double-figures in 22 contests, including six contests with 20-plus points… posted a career-high 33 points, connecting on a career-high 11 made free throws and netting 21 points through the first half, marking the most for a Golden Eagle since Yaktavia Hickson against Belmont (Jan. 21, 2017), against Samford (Nov. 24).
2018-19 (Sophomore): Appeared in all 33 games, starting two contests and averaging 25.2 minutes per game… second-leading scorer on the team averaging 10.2 points per game while shooting 36.4 percent from the field, 31.7 percent from three, and 85.3 percent from the line… scored a career-high 23 points against UT-Martin while also grabbing nine rebounds, three assists, and three steals in the contest (Feb. 9)… scored double-figures in 17 games… averaged 3.5 rebounds per game… recorded her first double-double and a career-high 10 rebounds against Belmont (Jan. 5).
2017-18 (Freshman): Poised for a breakout debut campaign before suffering a season-ending injury minutes into Tech’s second conference game in late December… started all 13 games she appeared in… her first-ever collegiate game (against Tennessee Wesleyan on Nov. 10) was a good one, as she scored 21 points with two 3-pointers, shot 50 percent from the field and added six rebounds and four steals… she (along with teammate Jordan Brock, who scored 20 points), became the first Tech freshman to score 20 or more points in her debut since Kellie Cook put up 22 against Alabama on Nov. 13, 2009… received her first adidas® OVC Freshman of the Week honor following that game… scored 10+ points in seven different games… came close to a double-double when she scored 10 points and had nine rebounds at Kentucky (Dec. 3)… still ended the year ranked fourth for Tech with 10.5 points per game and also averaged 27.8 minutes.
High School: Brady attended Smyrna High School where she received the 2015-16 Daily News Journal All-Sports MVP award and was also named to the 2015-16 All-District Girls Basketball 7AAA second team... played for Bud Brandon in her last two seasons as a Bulldog... averaged 25.2 points, 2.4 steals and 3.4 rebounds per game in her senior season... joined the 1,000-point club in her junior year... played AAU ball for BWright... also played volleyball for three seasons at Smyrna as an outside hitter.
Personal: The daughter of Milkia Brady and Preston Beddingfield ... cousin Eric Gordon played football at Tennessee from 2009-12 as a cornerback and on special teams.
Academic: Majoring in exercise science, physical education, and wellness with a concentration in pre-physical therapy.

Hardly a week later, everything changed with the COVID-19 pandemic. So with a full year of all of this weighing on the Golden Eagles, Thursday, they had enough. Tech opened up the quarterfinal contest in the 2021 OVC Basketball Championships like a team possessed and hardly looked back as the fifth-seeded Golden Eagles took a 79-64 victory over No. 4-seed Jacksonville State, heralding its exit from the OVC in women’s basketball.

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. -- As the Ohio Valley Conference wrapped up its regular-season basketball slate and stand on the eve of the league’s tournament in Evansville, Ind., the conference announced its All-OVC teams on Tuesday. Tennessee Tech claimed four spots on the teams, picking up second-team selections for junior Anna Jones and seniors Jordan Brock and Kesha Brady. COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – A back-and-forth battle to the end, the Tennessee Tech women fell on the short end of Saturday’s 68-67 loss to Murray State. Macey Turley scored 11 points in the final 10 minutes as she was 4-for-5 from the field and 3-for-4 from long range Katelyn Young tied the game with 45 seconds remaining as she grabbed her own rebound and got the second-chance bucket. When Kim Rosamond was named head coach at Tennessee Tech on March 31, 2016, she understood one of the keys to restoring the program’s winning ways would be her staff’s ability to attract the state’s top players back to Cookeville. Rosamond had spent more than a decade coaching and recruiting up and down I-40, and she knew the state of Tennessee had long been a hotbed for high school girls basketball. She also understood the importance of making a statement early on the recruiting trail. Abby Buckner and Taylor Lamb would be cornerstones to the new staff’s first two signing classes at Tennessee Tech, and those first signing classes would quickly put the Golden Eagles on the winning path. Both came from successful high school programs in Tennessee, and both were what Rosamond believed were the kind of “winners” the program needed.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Since Belmont joined the Ohio Valley Conference, there aren’t many teams who have been able to beat them, posting a 120-27 record in league play, posting an incredible .816 winning percentage. In the last five years alone, the Bruins have lost only seven OVC contests – including four on the road with three losses at UT Martin. Before this season, Belmont had only lost once at the Curb Event Center during the span – a 77-72 loss to Tennessee Tech on January 5, 2019. And that was it – until this season. After Belmont had its program shut down from the COVID pandemic, the Bruins went from December 20 to January 19 without playing. That first game back ended up a 72-66 loss to Murray State at the Curb Event Center. Southeast Missouri also found paydirt in Nashville on Feb. 9, topping the Bruins 70-66.

Saturday, Tech took the lessons learned from the previous meeting and shut down a talented offensive squad. An 11-point run in the second quarter put Tech ahead and the Golden Eagles never looked back on Saturday as Tech defeated Eastern Illinois 62-45, picking up its third straight win and eighth out of the last ten games. Facing a one-point deficit at the end of three quarters, Tech surged to a 72-67 victory. Eastern Illinois led by as many as 15 points midway through the third quarter and an extraordinary effort led by Maaliya Owens with nine points in the final 10 minutes helped erase the Panthers’ lead. MARTIN, Tenn. – UT Martin is the top team in the Ohio Valley Conference standings. There’s no debate on this – the Skyhawks have been toppled just once in league competition this season, a 72-67 loss at Jacksonville State back on December 30. Only one other team has knocked off the Skyhawks this season – No. 1-ranked Louisville. Twice. While this may seem to be an albatross to most teams, the Tennessee Tech women are standing their ground. The Golden Eagles have been in this situation before, breaking Belmont’s 47-game OVC winning streak a couple seasons back. In their illustrious history, the Tech women have also been on the other side of the equation, standing as the team with the target on their back. No question, Saturday’s game is a very important one for the Golden Eagles.
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Turnovers plagued the Tennessee Tech women all night long on Thursday, but the Golden Eagles just kept finding ways to endure and come back. With 50 seconds remaining, Tech tied the game after coming back from a 10-point deficit not even five minutes earlier. But with 22 seconds left, the turnover was costly. As LaTrese Saine stripped the ball away during a transition from Mackenzie Coleman to Jordan Brock, all Tech could do was foul and try to get the ball back. But Morehead State will come into the Hooper Eblen Center ready to take on Tennessee Tech to try to break up the Golden Eagles’ recent run of success of four wins in the last five games.
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – As the Tennessee Tech women’s basketball team returned back from Richmond, Ky., on January 9, head coach Kim Rosamond gathered the troops in the back of the bus, determined that the Golden Eagles were going to bounce back from a frustrating loss to the Colonels. “That was a tough weekend,” she said. “We were 0-2 on that road trip and we left Eastern Kentucky very, very disappointed. When we got back into Cookeville, I went to the back of the bus and told them if we could play as hard as we played against them, we would fix the execution piece.” In the five games since, it looks like they may be on the right path. In the span since, Tech has lost once, pulling together four wins. That includes a decisive win on Thursday as the Golden Eagles powered their way to a 74-58 victory against that same Eastern Kentucky team in the Hooper Eblen Center.

JACKSONVILLE, Ala. – After a long week on the road, the Tennessee Tech women’s basketball team ran into a determined Jacksonville State squad on Monday night. The homestanding Gamecocks shot the ball at a scorching rate, and while Tech rallied back late, JSU came up on the winning end, topping Tech 69-58 at Pete Mathews Coliseum. While the Golden Eagles were able to frustrate the Gamecocks early, forcing a few JSU turnovers, once Jacksonville State squad settled down, they shot the ball at a red-hot rate, going 6-of-13 from the field in the first quarter and only improving from there. The Gamecocks were 8-for-15 in the second and 7-for-9 in the third. JSU finished the contest shooting 50.9 percent from the field, including 7-for-15 from 3-point range and 6-for-11 from the free-throw line.

The defeat spoiled Tech’s first two double-doubles of the season as senior Mackenzie Coleman grabbed her eighth career double-double and junior Anna Jones tacking on her first. Coleman led the Golden Eagles with 15 points and 10 boards, while Jones had 12 points and 10 rebounds.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – On the same day senior guard Jordan Brock was honored for surpassing the 1,000-point mark in her career, she showed why she has been a crucial part of the Tennessee Tech offense over the last few years. Brock ended the game with 22 points as she helped lead the Golden Eagles to a 73-59 victory over Western Kentucky on Sunday in a game that was a quick change after Saturday’s opponent, Samford, had to cancel as the team entered COVID protocols.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – In just after her first two games in a Tennessee Tech uniform, junior guard/forward Anna Jones is already pulling in accolades as the Middle Tennessee transfer was named the co-recipient of the Ohio Valley Conference’s Newcomer of the Week award. The weekly OVC honors are selected by the league’s sports information contacts. Jones averaged 12 points for her first two contests, but against Jacksonville State, the Jackson native scored 21 points on 7-of-9 shooting, including a 4-for-6 effort from 3-point range. Jones also had four steals.

She was also 13-of-16 from the free-throw line, a career-best as well.

After a tough outing at Chattanooga to open the 2020-21 campaign on Friday, the Tennessee Tech women overcame a late deficit in the fourth quarter to top Jacksonville State 68-66 on Sunday in the Hooper Eblen Center. “We have the utmost respect for Jacksonville State and head coach Rick Pietri,” Tech head coach Kim Rosamond said. “Year-in and year-out, they are among the top teams in the league, and we knew this was just going to be a battle. The improvements that our team made were just really incredible. I’m just really proud of them and their effort. This was just a total team win with some just unbelievable individual performances.” Senior Kesha Brady topped her total from Friday by one point as she ended Sunday’s victory with 27 points and six boards over 39 of 40 minutes as she helped the Golden Eagles rally from a seven-point JSU advantage with 6:39 remaining. Brady was named the Special Olympics Player of the Game after the effort.

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – With the Tennessee Tech women’s basketball team getting set to kick off its season on November 25, the Ohio Valley Conference released its preseason projections and all-conference team on Friday, based on the voting of the league’s coaches and sports information contacts. The Golden Eagles were projected to finish fourth, in what could be a hotly-contested battle for the top five spots in the league. UT Martin, with 22 first-place votes, were tabbed as the preseason favorite, while Belmont and reigning OVC tournament champ Southeast Missouri were voted second and third. Following Tech in fourth, Eastern Illinois was in fifth. The rest of the order saw Jacksonville State, Morehead State, Austin Peay, Eastern Kentucky, SIUE and Tennessee State in succession.
