Bio
A two-sport athlete during her career at Page High School, Madison had an impact on the Golden Eagle track & field team as a freshman in the middle distances...continues to develop into her sophomore campaign...enjoyed a solid showing during the fall in her first season on the cross country squad...an outstanding student in the classroom, she also participated in a wide variety of school activities including serving as the class president, ROTC, Spanish Honor Society and being voted Queen of both Homecoming and Prom.
AT TECH (IN 2015-16): Represented Tech in every meet during the 2015 cross country season, consistently placng in the team's Top 5...best finish of the year was at the Alabama Crimson Classic when she placed fourth on the team in 19:26.94...her personal-best 5K time came at the OVC Championships when she covered the circuit in 19:23.8.
(IN 2014-15): Madison was Tech's top runner at 800m during her first season on the squad...also ran the 500m at UAB and posted a time of 1:23.86 (Jan. 10) in her first collegiate meet...her PR at 800m also came on the same track in Birmingham two weeks later with a time of 2:21.44...during the outdoor season, she posted Tech's best times at both 800m and 1,500m...ran her only race at 1,500m at Vanderbilt (March 28) and posted a time of 5:02.49...posted her PR and Tech's best at 800m at the OVC Championships at Austin Peay with a time of 2:17.91.
HIGH SCHOOL: Madison attended Fred J. Page High School in Franklin, Tenn, where she earned a spot on the A/B Honor Roll and was the student body President in 2013-14 as a senior...she lettered and was captain on both the Patriot soccer and track and field teams...went to the TSSAA state track meet three years in a row for the 300m hurdles where she finished sixth in 2012 as a sophomore, fourth in 2013 as a junior, and second in 2014 as a senior...track team captain final two years under head coach Pete Wade...competed in the 300m, 4x100m and 4x200m relays...named all-district in soccer, helping to capture one district championship...winner of her team's Leadership Award.
PERSONAL: Madison is the daughter of Mark and Charlotte Stremler...born November 19, 1995 in Urbana, Ill....majoring in International Business...her father ran cross country at Rose-Hulman Institute.
