2020 (Senior): During the COVID-19 pandemic-shortened season, Sparks played in eight games, starting two ... batted .273 as she had three hits in 11 at-bats ... drove in four runs ... had a .273 slugging percentage and .333 on-base percentage.

2019 (Junior): Played in 29 games, starting 18 ... batted .217 with 15 hits in 69 at-bats ... drove in six runs, while scoring six times ... collected two doubles and three home runs.

2018 (Sophomore): Played in 47 games, starting 46 ... batted a team-high .295 and led the team in runs scored with 23 ... drove in 29 runs as she had six doubles, nine home runs and had 38 hits in 129 at-bats ... walked 16 times to her 24 strikeouts ... had a .550 slugging and .383 on-base percentage ... named OVC Player of the Week (4/16) after going 4-for-6 with three runs scored and six RBI as she hit three home runs against Murray State, with a 2.167 slugging percentage for the doubleheader.

Golden Eagle softball splits twinbill at Lipscomb

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Recent years have not been kind for the Tennessee Tech softball team when it took on Lipscomb, with the last win against the Lady Bisons coming in 2016, then 2009 before that. Alyssa Arden and Alexis Trimiar changed that in the first game Saturday as the Golden Eagles won their 10th game of the 2020 campaign, topping Lipscomb 3-1 in eight innings during the opener. The Golden Eagles (10-8) almost made it two on Saturday, taking a 6-0 lead, but the Lady Bisons rallied back to come-from-behind and get the walk-off victory in the nightcap, 8-7.

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – It will take some time to find out how the Tennessee Tech softball team fared against the University of Tennessee. Monday afternoon’s game was suspended in the bottom of the second with two Golden Eagles on base and one down with the Lady Vols leading 2-0. There is no continuation date or time set at this time, but is planned to be concluded at a later time. The day’s second game against host East Tennessee State was canceled.

MACON, Ga. – Three home runs in the fifth inning on Sunday helped propel the Tennessee Tech softball team to a 7-1 victory over Wright State to close out the Mercer Invitational. With the win, the Golden Eagles (4-1) win their fourth straight game and put together the best five-game start since the team went 5-0 en route to a 15-0 start in the 1997 campaign.

DePolo gets first win as Tech softball splits first day at Mercer Invitational

MACON, Ga. – An early offensive outburst was enough to keep the Tennessee Tech softball team on top in its nightcap on Friday night against Mercer to earn Golden Eagle head coach Michelle DePolo her first win in charge of the program. Tech topped Mercer 10-7 in the second game, following a 10-2 defeat to Tulsa in the day’s opener to split the first day of the Mercer Invitational.
