FRESHMAN (2017-18): Kubota entered the Tech mix during the spring and put together a strong rookie campaign with a 4-1 OVC singles record…went 8-10 overall during singles play…propelled the Golden Eagles to their third straight OVC Tournament championship with the deciding win over Belmont in the No. 5 singles matchup (the match was tied 3-3)…put together a 5-0 OVC doubles resume…overall went 8-7 during doubles action, highlighted by an 8-4 mark out of the No. 2 spot.
BEFORE TECH: A native of Takasaki, Gunma, Japan, Kubota attended Kyoai Gakuen High School.
