Bio

Artem enrolled at Tech in January 2011 and joined the team mid-season, in time to play the entire dual match schedule as a freshman...in his final year on the squad...the team's most experienced player...should hold a permanent spot in the middle of the singles lineup.

AT TECH (In 2013-14): Recorded a 2-15 combined singles mark...a big player in doubles, Artem teamed up with former Tech tennis player, Vasily Eremeev, to record a 9-7 dual record...had a team-best OVC doubles record at 6-2.

AT TECH (In 2012-13): Moved up to the No. 3 position in singles play...posted a 5-16 overall singles mark...outstanding during doubles play with a 15-7 overall record, incuding a 12-4 log in dual matches...was 7-1 against OVC opponents on the doubles courts

In 2011-2012: Artem enrolled at Tech in January and joined the team mid-season...posted a 3-16 overall record in singles play, seeing most of his action in the No. 4 position...had four different playig partners during doubles play, seeing most of his time teamed with Vasily Eremeev...went 8-11 overall, incuding an 8-6 mark when paired with Eremeev.

BEFORE TECH: Artem played in more than 40 ITF tournaments throughout Asia and Eastern Europe including events in Kazakhstan, India, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey and the Ukraine...he played in the Grade 2 finals in doubles and won Grade 4 doubles…received an ITF ranking of 258…attended high school at the College of the Olympic Reserves.

PERSONAL: Artem is the son of Dmitriy Tarasov and Milena Klevantsova…birthday is December 13, 1992...full name Artem Tarasov…majoring in business administration.
