2023: Saw action in all 11 games, recording 23 total tackles -- seven solo and 16 assisted ... averaged 2.1 tackles per game ... had 4.0 tackles-for-loss for 18 yards, including 1.5 sacks for 15 yards ... recorded a season-best five tackles at Robert Morris (10/28/23) ... had a full sack for 11 yards at RMU, while also assisting on a four-yard sack against Southeast Missouri (10/21/23).
2022: Played in all 11 games as a freshman, recording 12 total tackles -- seven solo and five assisted ... averaged 1.1 tackles per game ... also collected 2.5 tackles-for-loss for eight yards, including one sack for five yards ... also recovered a fumble.
HIGH SCHOOL: Playing for an Oakland squad that has won three TSSAA Class 6A state championships in the last four years, McLaurin was a force for the Patriots. This past season, he collected 74 total tackles, including 42 solo, while also recording 7.5 sacks and eight QB hurries. A first-team All-State selection for Class 6A, McLaurin recently appeared in the TACA East-West All-Star game – another honor to go with two all-area and two all-region selections.
