BRENTWOOD, Tenn. -- Bailey Fisher meant a lot to the Tennessee Tech football team this season as the true freshman tried to lead the Golden Eagle offense on the field. He was recognized for his efforts on Tuesday as he was announced as the Ohio Valley Conference's Freshman of the Year, as well as selected to the league's All-Newcomer Team. The all-conference teams and awards were selected by a vote between the league's coaches and sports information contacts.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – As the Tennessee Tech football team finished the first full week of fall camp, the Golden Eagles closed out Saturday with their first scrimmage. We threw a lot of situations at them over the last few practices – certain areas of the field, two-minute drills, backed up, red zone, 3rd and long, 3rd and short. There’s a lot of stuff we’re still installing, and the nature of it – you’re throwing a lot of stuff in, after day two or three it starts running together.
