Bio
Avery Rollins is a strong, physical lineman with good size... had a really spring campaign... will be a dominate run stopper and provides great depth on the Defensive Line... enters fall camp as the Backup Bear behind Sr Tommie Mcbride.
AT TECH (In 2011): Rollins spent his first season at Tech working out with the d-line as a redshirt...heads into 2012 with four years of eligibility remaining.
BEFORE TECH: Avery was a two-way starter at Gadsden City High School, as well as handling the long snapper duties for the Titans. He was a four-year letterman and a three-year starter for coach Joseph Billingsley. On defense, he made 90 total tackles including 12 tackles-for-loss and five quarterback sacks. He caused two fumbles, broke up five pass attempts and had one interception. He helped his team roll to a 10-4 overall record and third round of the Alabama Class 6A playoffs after going 6-1 in conference play. The Titans won three consecutive Region 7-6A titles with Rollins on the field.
