A speedy cornerback, James spent his first year on the Golden
Eagle roster as a redshirt and began learning the system...expected
to see playing time at a corner in his first season of
action...exccelletn quickness and instincts for getting to the
ball.

Golden Eagles in his first year on the roster.
HIGH SCHOOL: A three-year starter for coach
Raymond Bonner at Cedar Grove High School...played cornerback and
paced the defense, and lined up as a wide receiver for the
offense...twice named all-county for his defensive skills...a
versatile athlete, he was a three-time state champion in track
& field...part of the state's fastest 4x400 meter relay team as
a sophomore and junior at the GHSAA championships...individually,
he won the 400-meter dash as a senior.
