2021 (Junior*): Hinchman made starts in each of Tech’s 47 games, including 37 in center field, six in left field, and four in right field… hit .241 with a .369 on-base percentage and .488 slugging percentage… led the Golden Eagles with a perfect stolen-base percentage, going 13-for-13… tallied 39 hits with 42 runs scored, 35 RBI, five doubles, a triple, and 11 home runs… ranked second on the team with 30 walks drawn… made just three errors in the outfield… posted a season-high three hits in the second game of a doubleheader at Austin Peay (Mar. 14) and again in the first tilt of a double dip with SIUE (May 21)… drove in a season-best three runs five times… drew a season-high three walks in the first game of a doubleheader with Belmont (Apr. 25)… scored a season-best three runs in four games… smashed a home run in three straight games from May 18 through May 21… collected multiple hits in eight games and drove in multiple runs a team-high tying 10 times.

2020 (Junior): Hinchman started all of Tech’s 15 games at first base before the remainder of the season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic… led the Golden Eagles with a .414 batting average, .485 on-base percentage, .793 slugging percentage, 24 hits, six home runs, 13 RBI, seven walks and three stolen bases… put together a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage… ranked in the top-20 nationally in both total home runs and home runs per game (0.40)… crushed two solo home runs in the season-opener and first game of a doubleheader against Evansville (Feb. 15)… tied the program’s single-game home run record for the second time in his career with three jacks in the series finale against Evansville (Feb. 16), including a solo, walk-off bomb in the bottom of the ninth inning… drove in a season high five runs on four hits and scored four runs in the contest… cracked a home run and a double with two RBI and three total hits in the second game of a doubleheader at No. 12 NC State (Feb. 22)… went a perfect 4-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, two runs and two walks against Lipscomb (Mar. 11)… led the team with six multi-hit games and four multi-RBI contests.

2019 (Sophomore): Hinchman played in and started all 54 games for the Golden Eagles, with all but seven starts coming at first base… also made one start in right field and six as the team’s designated hitter… put together a .278 batting average, .420 on base percentage and team-high .697 slugging percentage… led the nation in home runs per game with a mark of 0.44… tallied 24 home runs, the second-most in the nation, second-most in a single season in program history and fifth-most in a single season in OVC history… totaled 55 hits, 54 runs and 11 doubles while leading the Golden Eagles with 24 long balls, 55 RBI and 43 walks… finished the year 3-for-3 on stolen base attempts… made just three errors all season, compiling a .991 fielding percentage… tied the program’s single-game record with three home runs against Valparaiso (Mar. 12), accounting for a season-high seven RBI… also recorded his first career grand slam in the contest… mashed two dingers with four hits, a season-high four runs and five RBI in the first game of a doubleheader against SIUE (Mar. 10)… collected three hits three more times on the year, including games at Jacksonville State (Mar. 30), the first contest of a doubleheader at Southeast Missouri (Apr. 19) and series finale at Southeast Missouri (Apr. 20)… crushed his second career grand slam against Alabama A&M (Apr. 16)… hammered a walk-off round tripper to give Tech a 3-2 win in the first game of a doubleheader against Central Arkansas (Apr. 12)… strung together four straight games with a home run from Mar. 30 to Apr. 6… totaled 15 games scoring multiple runs and 16 contests with multiple RBI… posted 11 multi-hit games… drew multiple walks 11 times.

2018 (Freshman): Hinchman played in 16 games while making a total of six starts as the team’s designated hitter… finished his freshman campaign batting .219 with a .531 slugging percentage and .342 on-base percentage… wrapped up the year with seven hits, 10 runs scored, nine RBI, a double, three home runs and six walks… collected his first career hit, an RBI double, against Little Rock (Feb. 16)… posted his first multi-hit game with a pair of hits against Illinois State (Feb. 24)… clobbered his first career home run, the eventual game-winner, with a season-high three RBI in Tech’s win at Troy (Mar. 3)… scored a season-high three runs and drew a season-high three walks at Lipscomb (Mar. 6)… recorded multiple RBI three times.

High School: Hinchman lettered three years for head coach Chris Brown at Alexander High School… led his team to a Region 5-AAAAA title… named Georgia Region 5-AAAAA Player of the Year as a junior and senior, as well as to the All-Region 5-AAAAA First Team… also named team MVP his last two seasons… as a junior, hit .368 with five home runs and 27 RBI… followed it up with a .440 average, 10 home runs, 43 RBI and 45 runs scored as a senior… finished as the 2016 International Power Showcase High School Home Run Derby runner up and tallied the 2016 Perfect Game Highest Exit Velocity speed of 105.3 miles per hour.

Personal: Son of Brad and Sue Hinchman… born July 19, 1999… full name is Jason Hinchman… father Brad played baseball for three years at the University of West Georgia… cousin Joe Hinchman was a four-year member of the wrestling team at Shorter College.

Academic: Majoring in business management… named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll eight times and the OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll three times.
