2020 (Sophomore – Howard College): Medrano made four appearances on the hill before the remainder of the season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic… recorded a 3.86 ERA with one save in 7.0 innings of work… compiled 13 strikeouts and just two walks… led the team with a 16.71 strikeouts/nine rate… tossed a season-high 2.1 innings at Clarendon (Mar. 7), allowing one hit and one walk with six punch-outs… fanned five in two innings on the mound to earn a save at New Mexico JC (Mar. 10).

2019 (R-Freshman – Howard College): Medrano played in three games, including two as a pinch-runner… scored one run on the year and recorded one at-bat.

2018 (Freshman – Howard College): Medrano sat out the 2018 season as a redshirt.

High School: Medrano was a two-year letterwinner as a utility player for his uncle and head coach Ryan Medrano at Eastwood High School in El Paso, Texas.

Personal: Son of Debra and Raul Medrano... born Feb. 8, 1999... full name is Steven Medrano... father, Raul, played baseball at New Mexico Highlands from 1987-88... uncle, Ryan Medrano, played baseball at New Mexico State from 1994-98 and was a free agent signee with the Cincinnati Reds after the 1998 MLB Draft.
