TWO-TIME OVC PLAYER OF WEEK

2013 (Junior): Miles appeared in 53 games while making 52 starts at third base… ranked third in the OVC with a .603 slugging percentage… tied with teammate Brandon Thomasson for third in the league and second on the team with 12 home runs… drove in 53 runs on the year, ranking sixth in the OVC and second on the team… batted .337 on the year, finishing second on the Tech squad… also led Tech with three triples while adding 11 doubles… owned a .411 on-base percentage to rank fourth on the team… became just the second Golden Eagle ever to hit three home runs in a single game, crushing three at Austin Peay (Apr. 6)… also drove in a career-high six runs and scored a career-best four runs against the Governors… in that same contest, combined to hit back-to-back long balls with teammate Dylan Bosheers in back-to-back innings… smacked grand slams in back-to-back games against Belmont to help clinch the OVC regular season title (May 16-17)… recorded 21 multi-hit games, including seven resulting in more than two hits… cracked four home runs in four games and finished with nine RBI and seven runs scored to earn Louisville Slugger National Player of the Week honors from both Collegiate Baseball newspaper and CollegeBaseballInsider.com (Apr. 9, Apr. 10).. also earned OVC Player of the Week two times (Apr. 8, Apr. 22)… garnered Louisville Slugger All-American Honorable Mention honors from CollegeBaseballInsider.com… also named to the All-OVC First Team and grabbed Ohio Valley All-Conference First-Team honors from College Sports Madness at the end of the season… earned OVC Player of the Week honors twice during the season.

2011-12 (Freshman/Sophomore - Mississippi Gulf Coast CC): Miles starred at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, batting .404 with six home runs and 20 doubles as a sophomore… earned first-team all-state honors as well as a first-team Region 23 nod.

High School: Miles was a four-year letter winner as a third baseman at Pascagoula High School where he batted .436 with eight homers his senior season… named to the all-state team and all-state all-star team as a senior at PHS… earned all-district first team honors as a sophomore and junior.

Personal: Son of Tony and Cecilia Miles… born Aug. 9, 1991… full name is Daniel Lee Miles… majoring in EXPW/fitness and wellness… named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll one time.
