Bio
Miguel Galindo enters his first season as an assistant with the Golden Eagles in 2025.
Galindo comes to Cookeville following a three-year stint as an assistant at Georgia Southwestern State, a Division II school in Americus, Ga. During his tenure with the Lady Hurricanes, Galindo was part of a squad that made the Peach Belt Conference Tournament quarterfinals in each of the last two years, highlighted by a historic 2024 campaign that saw the program tie its NCAA-era (2006) record for wins in a single season to go along with the program’s best-ever Peach Belt Conference mark.
Prior to his successful run at Georgia Southwestern, Galindo was the inaugural head coach of the Columbus Rapids, a women’s professional indoor soccer team out of the National Indoor Soccer League (NISL), for the 2021-22 season. He was also on the staff as a volunteer assistant at Division II Columbus State, where he was part of a team that went 19-3-1 in 2021, which included a Peach Belt Conference regular-season championship behind a perfect 9-0 league record. The Cougars earned a berth to the NCAA Division II Tournament and won an opening round match that season as well.
Galindo also spent time as a club coach with the Concorde Fire Soccer Association in Columbus from 2021-22, AFC Lightning Soccer Club in Peachtree City, Ga. from 2014-21 and Lakelands Toros Soccer Club in Greenwood, S.C. from 2009-14.
Galindo, who has earned United States Soccer Federation A, B, C and D coaching licenses, spent time coaching for both the Georgia and South Carolina Olympic Development Programs. He was also the head coach for the women’s soccer team at Greenwood High School in Greenwood, S.C.
Born and raised in Seneca, S.C., Galindo played collegiately at NCAA Division II Lander University in Greenwood, S.C. He recently earned his Masters in Arts in Emerging Media at the University of Georgia in May 2025.
