Bio
Jospeh “J.R.” Mulvilhill made a name for himself as a superb defensive player on the Golden Eagle football team from 1967-69, earning All-OVC recognition three years and an All-America selection as a senior. A three-year letterman under Coach Don Wade, Mulvihill was co-captain of the 1969 team, chosen as the Defensive MVP, and selected as the Hard-Nosed Player of the Year. He was All-OVC Honorable Mention in 1967, All-OVC Second Team in 1968, and All-OVC First Team in 1969.
