Bio
Ed Zegarski lettered in both football and track during the 1940s and, in 1942, was a member of the first freshman class to earn letters in Tech athletics. He broke the Tennessee State Athletic Association record in the 100-yard dash, a record that stood for 10 years. In 1948 he was invited to the Olympic track & field trials in Nebraska where he barely missed a spot on the U.S. team which competed in London.
