Bio
Cookeville native Eddie "Jelly" Watson collected a grand total of 13 letters in three sports during his career as a student-athlete in the formative years of Tennessee Polytechnic Institute's athletic programs. He earned three letters in football, four on the basketball court, and six in baseball. He was a starter and team captain in all three sports. Watson was a member of TPI's graduating class of 1929.
