Bio
A 1936 Tech graduate, Emmett Strickland is one of only two members elected to the Hall of Fame who served as president of Tech's student body. He lettered three years for coach Putty Overall in football and also lettered in basketball and baseball during his senior year. After graduation, he became a high school teacher and coach, and led his teams to four league, four district, five unit, six regional, and three state championships.
