2022 (Freshman): Seeing action in eight games in the 2022 campaign, Ross carried the ball 31 times for 185 yards -- an average of 5.7 yards per carry -- while collecting two touchdowns ... averaged 22.2 yards per game ... also caught eight passes for 116 yards, averaging 14.5 yards per catch and per game ... had a season-high 57 rushing yards against Texas A&M-Commerce (9/10/22) ... rushed for a touchdown against Lindenwood (11/5/22) and at North Alabama (11/12/22) ... had a season-long rush of 33 yards at UT Martin (10/1/22) ... had a season-high 65 receiving yards and a 56-yard reception against Lindenwood (11/5/22).

HIGH SCHOOL: In his senior campaign, Ross was unstoppable, carrying the ball 253 times for 1,883 yards and 37 touchdowns. He averaged 7.4 yards per carry and 144.8 yards per game, rushing for over 100 yards nine times. In his prep career, he rushed for 3,588 yards and 60 touchdowns. Ross also caught 34 passes last year for 375 yards and a touchdown and returned kicks for 82 yards to end the season with 2,340 all-purpose yards, 5,055 in his career. He scored 234 total points last year – 222 on touchdowns and 12 on conversions.

Tech football closes season with shutout win over Tennessee State

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – As the clock hit zero at Nissan Stadium, tears of joy erupted on the Tennessee Tech sideline. For everything the Golden Eagles had gone through over the course of the 2023 campaign, that moment was the culmination of it all. The highest of highs, the lowest of lows – Tech had been through it all. On Saturday, head coach Dewayne Alexander told his Golden Eagle charges to just go out there and have fun. That they did – leaving Nissan Stadium with a 35-0 victory over Tennessee State. It is the first shutout in the series, while it is the first shutout win for the Golden Eagles since 2013 – blanking Austin Peay in that contest – and only the fourth for the program since 2000.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Gardner-Webb seized momentum early in the contest Saturday and never let it go as Tennessee Tech closed out the home portion of the schedule with the Runnin’ Bulldogs claiming a 35-0 victory over the Golden Eagles. Tech (3-7, 1-4 Big South-Ohio Valley Conference Football Association) closes out the season next week as it travels to Tennessee State for a 2 p.m. contest at Nissan Stadium.

Tech football hosts North Alabama in home opener Saturday

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Home sweet home. The Tennessee Tech football team gets to take the field for the first time this season in the friendly confines of Tucker Stadium on Saturday night as the Golden Eagles take on North Alabama. Kickoff on Saturday is set for 6:02 p.m. Roger Ealey and Frank Harrell will have the game on 98.5 KISS FM, while Dylan Vazzano and Metz will call the game on ESPN+ (subscription required). After two tough weeks on the road, the Golden Eagles are excited to kick off the home slate in front of the Tech fans in an event-packed contest featuring the annual Running of the Freshmen, as well as recognition of the Tech women’s basketball teams for their Ohio Valley Conference tournament championship and OVC sportsmanship award honors. This weekend is also Legends Weekend for both football and women’s soccer as football will honor the 1953 and 1958 championship teams, while women’s soccer will recognize the 25th anniversary of its 1998 OVC title.
