Elizabeth is a rising star for the Golden Eagles after two seasons, and heads into the 2014 track schedule ready to beat her career-best marks and make an impact...has run three seasons of cross country...competed indoors as a freshman and sophomore, but has yet to race during an outdoor season.

AT TECH (In 2013-14): Showing constant improvement throughout the cross country season, Elizabeth moved up the ladder within the Tech lineup while running in all six meets...posted a time of 21:33.98 at Jacksonville State for her caarer-best 5K mark.

(In 2012-13):
Elizabeth earned a spot in the Tech cross country lineup in four meets during her sophomore season...career-best 5K time of 21:41.2 came at the Louisville Invitational...competed in the 800m and mile run during the indoor season...did not compete during the outdoor season...posted career-best time of 2:36.36 in the 800m race at the OVC Championships...her best mile time was 5:53.79, also at the OVC meet.

(In 2011-12):
Elizabeth ran in two cross country meets in her first season at Tech...posted a season-best 5K time of 22:50 at the TTU Invitational... she competed in the 800m during the indoor track season for the Golden Eagles... at the East Tennessee State Invitational she ran the 800m in 2:40.60... finished the 800m with a time of 2:39.15 at the Southern Illinois University Invitational.

HIGH SCHOOL: Elizabeth was a four-year letterman in track and field and soccer at Coffee County Central. She helped the Red Raiders qualify for the state meet in each of her four years and specialized in the 4x800m relay, the mile and the 4x400m relay. She set a personal record of 5:42 in the mile and a best time of 2:29 in the 800m. In soccer, she played midfield and defense and was named team captain in 2010.

PERSONAL: The daughter of John and Alisa Mitchell...born March 24, 1993...full name is Elizabeth LeeAnn Mitchell...plans to major in nursing.
