Tech volleyball takes two of three weekly OVC awards

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. - Third time is the charm, right? Well, its really her fourth overall but for the third straight week, senior Kappy Lang has been named the OVC Setter of the Week. This time junior Katie Kenline joins her in the weekly awards after earning the OVC Defensive Player of the Week.

Both come after the Golden Eagles went 1-1 last week against Eastern Kentucky and Morehead State.

"The deserved it this week," said head coach John Blair. "They played well in both matches this past weekend."

Lang continued to increase her career assists lead for the the Golden Eagles. She dished out 50 assists in the four-set win over Eastern Kentucky before dishing out 39 against Morehead State.

Kenline tallied 65 digs over the two matches last week to become Tennessee Tech's all-time digs leader. She now has 1,632 career digs. Kenline recorded 27 digs against Eastern Kentucky and followed that up with a 41-dig performance versus league-leading Morehead State.
