THE COMPETITION: The nine-team field consists of host Jacksonville State, as well as Alabama State, Alcorn State, Limestone, Morehead State, Murray State, Tennessee State, Tennessee Tech and UAB.
THOUGHTS FROM THE COACHING STAFF: "We are really looking forward to competing this week at the Chris Banister Classic. We performed well in this event last and we are excited about the opportunity to play on this course again. Silver Lakes is challenging, but very scorable if you play it smart. This is something we've talked a lot about since Northern Kentucky's event. We've worked mostly on wedges and getting comfortable with uncomfortable shots in the past week, which has given us quite a bit of confidence heading into this weekend. After a week off, we are ready to get back after it."
WHAT TO WATCH FOR: The Golden Eagles will look to build on last year's success at Silver Lakes Golf Course, a third-place showing at the Chris Banister Fall Classic. Senior Allyson Dunn led the charge, tying for third place overall with a 221 overall. Junior Hollee Sadler and sophomore Arianna Clemmer also gained experience in the event last year and return for another chance this week.
