COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech women's golf team heads south to take on the field of the Ohio Valley Conference Monday, taking part in the OVC Championships from Apr. 17 to Wednesday Apr. 19 at Hampton Cove, part of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail.
OVC CHAMPIONSHIPS: 54 holes (18 Monday, 18 Tuesday, 18 Wednesday), located at par-72, 6,050-yard Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Hampton Cove in Owens Cross Roads, Ala. Teams will kick off with an 8:00 a.m. CT shotgun start on Monday.
THE COMPETITION: The nine-team field consists of Austin Peay, Belmont, Eastern Illinois, Eastern Kentucky, Jacksonville State, Morehead State, Murray State, Tennessee State and Tennessee Tech.
THOUGHTS FROM COACH BROWN: "The OVC Championship is what the women have been working towards since August. We have had a lot of success throughout this year, and we look to continue that run at Hampton Cove. The women are ready and we are excited about the opportunity that lies before us."
WHAT TO WATCH FOR: The Golden Eagles enter the OVC Championships after recording their fourth top five finish of the year, a fourth-place showing at the EKU Colonel Classic. Allyson Dunn enter the tournament after earning back-to-back All-Tournament honors at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate and EKU Colonel Classic.
