NASHVILLE -- Youth across the region, including hundreds of youth basketball players in the Upper Cumberland who followed Tennessee Tech basketball during the past season, are invited to participate in a unique event that is part of the upcoming NCAA Women's Final Four in Nashville. The best part? It's FREE.
The Broadway Bounce refreshed by Coca-Cola will feature several thousand youth dribbling their way through downtown Nashville. Youth, 18 and under, are invited to participate in this free event and be a part of this unique Women's Final Four event.
"This sounds like a really fun and entertaining event, and it would be great to see a huge turnout of youth from the Upper Cumberland involved," said TTU Director of Athletics Mark Wilson. "We have so many enthusiastic young fans in our region, and they have supported our basketball teams so well with their attendance at home games in Eblen Center.
"As one of the premiere women's basketball programs in the state of Tennessee and the region, Tennessee Tech will be well-represented at this event and many of the other Final Four events. I know the Ohio Valley Conference staff is working very hard to help make this the best Women's Final Four ever, and I think our fans will enjoy being a part of it."
The Bounce route will begin at 6th Avenue and Demonbreun Street and will conclude at Tourney Town. Participants will receive a T-shirt and basketball, donated by the NCAA and Wilson Sporting Goods Co.
Come early to enjoy the free entertainment, activities and fun prior to the bounce. Pre-registration starts at 11 a.m. As the bounce concludes, Tourney Town will welcome dribblers and fans with entertainment and activities throughout the afternoon.
