Fans reminded of changes to basketball schedule this week

Next games are Saturday when Tech hosts afternoon doubleheader

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- Golden Eagle basketball fans are reminded of a couple of changes to the schedule in the month of December, beginning with two games originally listed for this week.

The women's game at Drake University, which was originally scheduled for Wedneday (Dec. 9), was moved to the 2010-2011 season. The men's game against Bryan College, which was originally slated for Thursday (Dec. 10), was moved to Dec. 19 as part of a doubleheader.

The changes were made after the original schedules were printed, so the games still appears on some pocket schedules. In addition, some tickets may also have the incorrect dates listed. Fans with any questions may contact the Athletics Ticket Office in Eblen Center at (931) 372-3940.

That means both the men's and women's teams will next be in action on Saturday afternoon in Eblen Center. The men's game is first at 2 p.m. as the Golden Eagles host Ball State University in a return game from last year's ESPN BracketBuster contest in Muncie, Ind. The women's team will host Southern Illinois at 4 p.m. Saturday in the nightcap of the twinbill.

Tech will host Belmont in a women's game at 6 p.m., followed Bryan in a men's game at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 19. Following a road game for the women's team at St. Louis, both Tech teams return to action on Wednesday, Dec. 30, with an Eblen Center holiday doubleheader beginning at 5:30 p.m.
