COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee Tech junior Vivian Nwosu put up
career-best numbers against Middle Tennessee State on Sunday, and
was recognized by the Ohio Valley Conference as Newcomer of the
Nwosu scored a career-best 15 points on an outstanding 7-for-8 shooting performance. She added two rebounds, both on the offensive end, and played a career-high 22 minutes.
The honor recognizes the top non-freshman newcomer in the conference each week. Nwosu, from San Antonio, Texas, transfered to Tech from McLennan Community College. Her previous career-high was 11 points against Georgia Tech.
Nwosu is the second Golden Eagle this season to earn an OVC weekly honor. Freshman Krystal Stirrup was named OVC Freshman of the Week earlier in the year.
