Runner Gene Palmer joins TTU Sports Hall of Fame FridayGene Palmer was the most dominant middle distance runner in the Ohio Valley Conference during his four years at Tennessee Tech in the late 1950s, winning individual championships and setting school and conference records. Friday night he will be inducted into the TTU Sports Hall of Fame.

Golden Eagle cross country teams running at Evansville SaturdayIn their final meet before hosting the OVC Championships at the end of the month, the Tech men's and women's cross country teams will run in the Evansville Invitational Saturday. Several Golden Eagle runners have had success at Evansville with personal best times in past races.
Taylor, Cline pace Tech teams at FurmanSenior Sam Taylor lead the Tech men's team, while freshman Rebecca Cline led the women's squad in Saturday's cross-country action in the Gene Mullin Furman Invitational. Every one of Tech's runners on the women's teams achieved personal-best times, while four of the men's runners did the same.
