COOKEVILLE, Tenn. --- After capturing its first victory of the spring season last week, the Tennessee Tech tennis team will look to keep its momentum going Friday as it travels to Elon.
The dual Golden Eagles dual against the Phoenix is set to begin at 1:30 p.m.
In its last dual, TTU defeated UNC Greensboro 4-3, as four Golden Eagles took home four singles victories to secure the dual.
Junior Syrym Adukhalikov and freshman Alejandro Bueno Augusto gave Tech its first two points of the dual, while senior Justin Kirstein and sophomore Vasily Eremeev each won the last two singles matches to give Tech the 4-3 win.
Elon is 0-2 this spring, which includes a 7-0 loss to South Carolina and a 6-1 loss to Georgia State. Stefen Fortmann recorded the Phoenix's only point against Georgia State with a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Thomas Cook.
