COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – With more than two weeks away from the links, it's finally time for the Tennessee Tech men's golf team to return to action. The Golden Eagles will participate in the Red Wolf Intercollegiate hosted by Arkansas State beginning Monday.
Located at the par-72 RidgePointe Country Club, the event is playing at 6,565 yards per 18 holes. The field will consist of over 100 players on 20 teams, including the following listed in alphabetical order:
South Dakota State
The Golden Eagles finished 10th in the event last year, being led by then-freshman Mitch Thomas. He carded a career-low 66 in the third round of the event, finishing with an overall score of 214 while tying for seventh.
"The men have had some time over the last couple of weeks to get in some good, quality practice," said head coach Polk Brown. "They look forward to competing at this event. It is a very large field, and it will give the guys a great opportunity to compete against some very solid teams. It is all about building momentum as the Ohio Valley Conference Championship gets closer, and we expect to continue to do that."
