COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Tech men's hoops player Jud Dillard received another honor this season, being named as one of the Ohio Valley Conference's best "fantasy" players for the month of December on Sunday by collegehoopsdaily.com.
The senior guard, who was named a preseason all-OVC selection and honored as the OVC Player of the Week earlier this season, ranks second in the conference in scoring and seventh in rebounding. Averaging 20.0 points per game, Dillard has already broken his career-high scoring performance this season, dropping 34 points on Crowley's Ridge to beat his previous best of 29 points.
The Atlanta, Ga. native has also been a beast on the boards this year, averaging over seven rebounds per contest as a guard. He recorded three double-doubles in the first six games, after posting eight in the 2011-12 campaign. Dillard also ranks second on the team in assists, averaging nearly three per contest.
Dillard and the Golden Eagles defeated Berea 69-45 in their previous contest Monday night and will host Green Bay on Thursday, at 7:30 p.m. CST.
