Golden Eagles prepare for Lipscomb; tipoff scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- In their second of six straight home games, the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles will take on the Bisons of Lipscomb University in the Hooper Eblen Center Saturday at 7 p.m.

Tech, with a record of 2-4 (1-0 OVC), will be looking to bounce back from a recent 80-69 loss to High Point University.

Lipscomb comes to Cookeville with a record of 5-2, 1-0 in the Atlantic Sun. They have won five of their last six games and are currently on a three game win streak, having narrowly defeated OVC opponent Austin Peay on December 7.

The Golden Eagles lead the lifetime series on Lipscomb with a 39-3 record, including a 92-89 road win over the Bisons last season. Junior Kevin Murphy led the way with 24 points and six rebounds that contest, while senior Alfred Jones added 16 points and six rebounds, and sophomore Jud Dillard chipped in with 10 points.
