Tommie moved from inside linebacker to the Ram outside linebacker spot prior to spring drills in 2010 and showed a great grasp of his new role...played in all 11 games in 2011, expected to be at the top of the depth chart for the Golden Eagles during his senior season...continued to show promise and development in the 2012 spring sessions, picking up a solo sack in the team's second scrimmage of spring drills...potential candidate for post-season honors...hard-nosed and physical...the more he learns about the system, the better he gets...type of player who will be hard to keep off the field... has made one appearance on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll.
AT TECH (In 2011): Saw action in all 11 games at the linebacker position...tallied 26 tackles, five of them coming as solo stops, and made one tackle for a loss of two yards against Murray State on Nov. 5 in one of his best games of the season with six total tackles. Logged pass breakups against Maryville College and Austin Peay...posted another six-stop game against Austin Peay on Nov. 19. Had two unassisted stops against Iowa in Tech's home opener.
AT TECH (In 2010): Called on to fill a backup role most of his second season, seeing action in all 11 games...was in the starting lineup for Tech's road victory at Austin Peay...inished the year with 24 total tackles...got to the ball carrier for tackles in 10 of the 11 games...season-high was four tackles, coming against both Southeast Missouri and UT Martin...had four tackles-for-loss and two quarterback sacks.
