A strong, physical presence inside and is a good enough athlete to help the Golden Eagles in coverage. Hard work on the field and in the weight room in the off-season is developing him into a special player.
AT TECH (In 2011): Made an appearance in all 11 contests as a true freshman at the linebacker position...had eight tackles against Maryville College on Sept. 8 and four against Tennessee State on Oct. 15...11 of his 19 total stops were unassisted...had one sack for a loss of six yards at EIU...returned one punt at EKU for 13 yards...forced one fumble at Iowa and had two pass break-ups on the season...
BEFORE TECH: Tra’Darius was an Honor student at Columbia Central High School, and a standout on both sides of scrimmage for the Lions. In the Class 5-A state championship game in Tucker Stadium, he was named both the Offensive and Defensive Player of the Game. The middle Tennessee Player of the Year, Goff is a two-time all-state selection, setting the school’s all-time records for both scoring and tackles. As a junior he had 28 rushing touchdowns and more than 170 tackles, and as a senior he had more than 200 tackles and rushed for 26 touchdowns.
