Watson Brown, Athletics to host weekly Football Insiders Lunch

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (July 27, 2009) – Fans of Tennessee Tech football are invited to join head coach Watson Brown as he hosts a weekly Football Insiders’ Lunch each Monday during the 2009 season.

Now in his third season as Golden Eagle head coach and celebrating his 25th season as a collegiate head coach, Brown will provide an inside look at the Golden Eagles, including game footage from the previous contest and a look forward to the next opponent. The lunches will features a relaxed, informal setting each Monday in the Eagles’ Nest in Eblen Center.

“These lunches are meant to be a gathering place for friends of Tech football in a comfortable, casual atmosphere, and we’ll just spend the hour talking about Golden Eagle football and watching game footage,” Brown said. “I’ll try to answer any questions fans have about the team, the games, and Tech football, and try to keep every up-to-date on the program.”

The first lunch is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 14, following the 2009 season opener against Pikeville College. It will be held every Monday through Sept. 23, from 12 noon to 1 p.m., a total of 11 weekly lunches.

Fans can purchase an Insiders’ Lunch ticket to the entire year for $110 per person, a cost of just $10 per week for the 11 weekly events. The meals will be catered by Chartwell’s, Tech’s on-campus food service.

Fans can purchase the season lunch ticket in advance, and have the option to include the lunch ticket with their season ticket order.

In addition to the footage, Brown will discuss the games and answer fan questions.
