COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- Fans holding a ticket to either the
football or men's basketball game at Tennessee Tech on Saturday
just earned a bonus -- a ticket to either event is good for
both!
Add in the Ohio Valley Conference volleyball tournament
championship match in between, and it provides a FULL day of sports
action on the Tech campus.
"Fans can just show us their ticket and we'll give them a ticket to
the other event," said Sandy Zimmerman, Tech ticket manager.
The university is gearing up for a busy day.
"Saturday will be a busy, exciting day for Tennessee Tech athletics
and Golden Eagle fans," said Mark Wilson, TTU Director of
Athletics.
"It starts with the football game against Eastern Illinois, and
it's Senior Day. We'll recognize our seven seniors and the game
should be a good OVC matchup," Wilson said.
"Tennessee Tech is honored to be hosting the OVC Volleyball
Tournament and we hope to see our Golden Eagles playing in the
championship match at 5 o'clock," Wilson said. "And, coach Mike
Sutton's men's basketball team is off to a 2-0 start and hosts a
very challenging team from Southern Utah at 8 p.m.
"Altogether, fans will have the opportunity to see some sensational
student-athletes competing and we think it all adds up to a
fun-filled and memorable day," he said.
Admission is free to all five of the matches in the OVC Volleyball
Tournament, including the championship contest Saturday. Tickets
are on sale for both the football and basketball games.
All of the ticketing for the games will be handled through the
Athletics Ticket Office in Eblen Center and can be done in advance
or on Saturday. The offer is good for both season ticket holders
and individual game ticket holders.
Ticket holders may get their additional tickets in advance at the
ticket office, or they can present their basketball tickets at the
football game to receive a football ticket. If you have a football
ticket, just present it Saturday evening at Eblen Center to receive
a basketball ticket.
