Golden Eagle baseball team to host annual High School Elite Camp


COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech baseball team will be hosting its annual High School Elite Camp for grades 9-12 on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013.

The camp will inlcude colleges from every division of college baseball in attendance, as well as multiple colleges from around the region. Weather permitting, attendees will have the opportunity to play a game in front of collegiate scouts, do a pro style workout, and receive skill instruction from a collegiate coach.

The charge is $100 per camper and space is limited to the first 100 applicants. Check in will begin at 8 a.m. and run to approximately 8:45 a.m. Evaluation and instruction is scheduled to start at 9 a.m. and continue until 1:30 p.m.

The camp will be held at the Averitt Express Baseball Complex on the campus of Tennessee Tech University.

The Golden Eagle Baseball Staff includes Head Coach & 2009 Ohio Valley Conference Coach of the Year, Matt Bragga; Former Mississippi State standout & 12th round draft pick Brandon Turner; 2007 TSSAA Batting Crown Winner Cody Church; and 2009 NAIA All-American Kyle Medley.
