Hometown fans enjoy Purple Pride Caravan on National Hot Dog Day

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Tech's hometown fans had a special treat Tuesday at the Hometown IGA in Cookeville, the third stop of the Purple Pride Caravan. It was National Hot Dog Day, and visitors enjoyed free hot dogs and Pepsi drinks.

Of course, the hot dogs and Pepsi are free at every Caravan stop, along with the chance to sign up to win prizes in drawings, and pick up plenty of free meterial about the Golden Eagles.

The next stop is Thursday in Smith County when the Purple Pride Caravan visits the Walmart in Carthage, beginning at 5 p.m.

Three lucky fans won drawings and received Tennessee Tech memorabilia, and one person qualified for the drawing to win a trip for two to the Tech-Wisconsin football game in the Golden Eagle Flyaway, sponsored by Kiss 98.5 FM.

The Caravans has several stops remaining, before wrapping up at the Algood Walmart on Aug. 27, just two days before the Golden Eagle season opener in Tucker Stadium on Aug. 29.
