COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- The field for the 2014 Pepsi Bobby Nichols
Scramble presented by Budweiser continues to move toward full
capacity.
As of Monday morning, 80 percent of the team spaces were filled
for the June 6-8 fund raising tournament hosted at three area golf
courses by Tennessee Tech Athletics. Before long, the entire field
of 528 golfers will be full and somebody will be left out.
"Registration has been steady," said Leveda Birdwell, tournament
co-director. "The tournament is still a month away, but weexpect
the field to fill up well before then. Anybody who is interested in
playing, or is considering playing, should not delay or they might
be disappointed and miss the opportunity.
"The Scramble is a really remarkable weekend with a full schedule
of events, and it just continues to grow in popularity," Birdwell
said. "Judging from the pace that entries are coming in, I wouldn't
be surprised if the field is filled up within the next week, or
so."
Interested golfers can register by calling the Athletics Ticket
Office in Eblen Center at (931) 372-3940 or 3941.
