Sandy Zimmerman oversees all of Tennessee Tech's Athletic Ticket operation, now in her ninth year as Ticket Office Manager for Golden Eagle Athletics.

Originally from Columbus, Neb., she graduated from Lakeview High School and remains to this day a die-hard Cornhusker fan. In addition to her allegiance to the TTU Purple & Gold. She began work at TTU in 1992 as manager of the Indoor Tennis Center. In 1998, she took a clerical position in Athletics, and served in that role until June 2001 when she was promoted to Ticket Office Manager. Her current position is Financial Associate as well as Ticket Office Manager.

She oversees all season and individual game ticket sales, including group sales and Back the Golden Eagles business plans. She also coordinates the gameday ticket sales staff at football and basketball games, and other special events held in Tech's venues.

Sandy, 55, also plays a major role in the success and smooth operation of the annual Bobby Nichols Scramble. After handling much of the behind-the-scenes clerical preparations and registration for the tournament, she also coordinates all of the scoring and flighting for 500 golfers over three days.

Actively involved in the Boy Scouts of America, she served as Scoutmaster for 24 years and earned the Silver Beaver Award. Sandy is also an accomplished seamstress.

Sandy and her husband, Bob, have been married for 36 years and have three grown sons -- Rob, Kenyon and Nathan, all of whom have accomplished the rank of Eagle Scout.
